lessons (on culture) i learned from sir sev's events class

if sir sev were to teach in UP, he would be one of the best professors of PANPIL.
1. filipinos love a show. although we may not be familiar with the broadway plays, we are awed by vaudaville dancers, colorful backdrops and costumes, lights and good music.
2. filipinos hate ala carte. food matters a lot to us. now i know why buffets are more popular in wedding receptions, debuts, and other parties.
3. filipinos are a relatively forgiving audience. they don't really look for mistakes. ateneans are the only ones that do so, not only in events, but in everything in general).
4. when hosting an event, we shouldn't be using the line "we apologize for the technical difficulties" when such happens. we tell the audience frankly the specific nature of the problem. we live in the age of high technology dependency, therefore, we must know something about it.
5. according to smokey manaloto, jollibee has imbalanced features. oo nga naman, with his big butt, big torso and small wings, how can this bee fly?
