batman begins

so last night was pizza night at the panopio household, and when vicky suggested we watch batman begins...
finally. after more than a month, i got to watch the cape crusader. it's supposed to be the prequel of all the batman movies. i have heard from "credible" reviewers that this batman is the best among all the batman movies, even beating the legendary tim burton's batman and batman returns.
five pizza slices after... i was disappointed.
personally, i strongly disagree. it's not the best batman movie. it didn't beat burton's first two movies. michael keaton is still the best batman. he's a natural with his eyebrows. KATIE HOLMES IS UBER ANNOYING. i find christian bale a little annoying especially when he talks as batman. the movements of his cheeks are annoying too. christian bale could have been a better superman/ clark kent.
i felt so stupid to forget that ra's al ghul wasn't bald. and i felt bad that the movie wasn't loyal to the comic book. ra's has a daughter who eventually became bruce's wife. and that's the exciting plot. unfortunately, that wasn't what the movie is about.
i love liam neeson, michael caine, and gary oldman. these three actors were perfect. i also admire the cinematography and the effort to show batman's darker side, and this sets the movie apart from the other batman movies where batman's ideal side is romanticized so much.
i'd give it a rating of say 7.
